Aquasonic Ichonex 100ml is formulated to assist in the treatment of whitespot disease (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis) in aquarium fish. Whitespot is a common parasite that appears as tiny white grains on the body and fins, causing irritation, stress, and, if left untreated, potentially fatal outbreaks.
Aquasonic Ichonex is designed to treat whitespot effectively without the strong toxic effects of some traditional medications and without heavy staining of aquarium décor.

Directions & Important Use Notes

From the product details:
  • Do not use on fish intended for human consumption
  • Ensure aquarium water is well aerated during the entire treatment period
  • Do not use activated carbon in the filter while treating—carbon will remove Ichonex from the water and make it ineffective
  • If using undergravel filtration, reduce the flow rate during treatment
  • This product contains a dye that can stain if spilled, so handle with care
Always follow label directions and observe fish closely during treatment.

Dose Rate & Treatment Schedule

Treatment is carried out over three days:
  • Day 1: Add 5mL of Aquasonic Ichonex per 40 litres of aquarium water
  • Day 2 and Day 3: Dose at half the initial rate (i.e. half of the Day 1 dose)
To estimate tank volume in litres:
Multiply length x width x water level height (in cm) and divide by 1000.
Do not overdose. If symptoms persist or you’re unsure of the diagnosis, consult a veterinarian or experienced aquarium professional.
